Director of Exhibitions, Programmes and Museum Services at the ArtScience Museum

Adrian George is a curator, commissioner, writer and educator with over 20 years’ experience working in some of the most influential art institutions in the world including the New Museum, New York; Tate Modern; Tate Liverpool and the UK Government Art Collection, UK (which represents British visual culture in over 300 locations worldwide).  He is currently Director of Exhibitions, Programmes and Museum Services at ArtScience Museum, Singapore.


A member of the International Association of Art Critics, Adrian’s publication The Curator’s Handbook (Thames & Hudson, 2015) has become a core text for curatorial studies internationally and is available in six languages. He was a National Advisor and selector for Wales in Venice (Venice Biennale) in 2017 and 2019, an advisor to the Board of the Bomb Factory Art Foundation, London and, until relocating to Singapore in 2017, was a Representative at Court of the Royal College of Art, London.  He sits on the Academic Committee for the Ocean Flower Island Museum, Hainan, China and the International Committee for RIACT (the Journal of Artistic Research, Creation and Technology) produced by the School of Fine Arts at the University of Lisbon, Portugal.
